I just finished doing this great workout video! It's called Self Magazines: Slim and Sleek Fast!
I first did the video yesterday and today found that I was 3-4 pounds lighter today! Of course I barely eat anything since the gastric bypass surgery so I wouldn't say that those are typical results but this really is a fantastic video.
It's set at the beach which I love because whenever I think that I want to give up I imagine my beach trip in July and how I want to lose as much weight as possible before then. The instructor does a very good job of combining toning and plyometrics throughout the video as well. I also like that she has one of the other ladies in the video doing the lower impact moves to her high impact. I know that now days you often see this in workout videos but it's been my experience that part of the time the person who is supposed to do the lower impact moves 'forgets' and keeps pace with the instructor but the lady during Self Magazines: Slim and Sleek Fast! stays at the lower level the entire time.
Personally, I can't keep up with the higher impact moves all the time but I do what I can and then switch to the lower impacts ones to rest before trying again.
I can tell that my stomach is going down this week and I'm really happy about that. I've also gone down 2 pants sizes and my face has lost some weight too. All of these things are very inspiring. I know I have a long way to go and considering I weighed 344 when this started it takes awhile to really see the differences because you are so heavily obese that when you finally start losing weight it just comes off a little over different areas at a time. Still, losing 53 pounds in less than 2 months is nothing to sneeze at and if I can keep losing the weight at that rate then I may be able to reach my goal by the end of Summer which is to exchange my Swim Dress for a SwimSuit! I have a feeling that I'm really going to enjoy shopping for clothes this fall for the first time!
I'll post a new picture next week to show my progress. =)
As for today:
It's been a little over 7 weeks
Weight: 291 Pounds
Weight Lost: 53 pounds
