Starting Weight: 344 pounds
Weight Lost: 39 pounds

I've lost 39 pounds now and am so excited to be 5 pounds away from officially weighing under 300 pounds!!!! It has to have been 8 years since I've been under 300 pounds! Last week for my 1 month follow up with the nutritionist they also told me to start on Phase 3 of the Diet Plan so now I don't have to puree my foods anymore and can eat up to 3 ounces per meal. So far though, even though I measure 3 ounces of food out on my little food scale I haven't been able to eat a whole 3 ounces yet...which I'm viewing as a good thing.

I still have to concentrate on eating proteins first and taking all of my medications throughout the day which gets kind of old. I went into this knowing that I would be required to take a multi-vitamin for the rest of my life but multi-vitamin plus 3 other supplements plus prilosec plus a couple of other medications I take! Oh well, since I'm loving the results I just have to suck it up!

On another note I cannot find a water substitute that I like. I've tried Crystal Light, Vitamin Water, G2 and so far I'm just stuck with drinking water and a glass a day of diluted apple juice. Oh well, water is one of the best things you can drink...that reminds me, I still need to look into Slimfast Light. So far my local grocery stores don't carry it but I'm sure the website will.

I spoke to a Co-Worker yesterday who said that his Step-Mother had Gastric Bypass around a year and a half ago and when I asked him how much she had lost he said around 250 pounds! Can you imagine losing that much weight in such a short amount of time. I only need to lose 200 pounds over all and since I'm 30 and still pretty active (or at least I force myself to be) I'm hoping to lose the weight just as quickly if not quicker.

I should point out that way back when I started this whole process with the insurance and my six month supervised diet and such I weighed a whopping 360 pounds so my grand total weight loss at this point is actually: 55 pounds!
